Ian studied photography as part of his foundation course at art college before going on to do freelance artwork.

Eventually he became a freelance analyst programmer working all over the country until he gave up the IT and concentrated on his first love, photography.

Ian runs courses from half day to 2 days, and even commercial courses.

With over 7 years of teaching photography Ian concentrates on the laymans terms on how to get the best image from your camera.  All of Ians courses are 1-to-1 tuition.

Ruth Hargest

Ruth is a local artist who has photographed mid-Wales since 1986, although she now concentrates on small projects and commisions only. She farms on the Brecknockshire side of the valley, opposite Erwood Station Craft Centre, an activity which greatly influences her art.

Ruth is now retired but the Craft Centre has the last of her remaining stock including postcards, placemates and coasters, which are a wonderful gift from Wales. Her stunning scenes of the Wye Valley and her iconic pictures of sheep and local historical features really are something to write home about!
